In-House Dental Laboratory

Not only do we offer all of the various dental specialties under one roof, but we also offer independent, customized results by using our own in-house dental laboratory. Most dental offices outsource these needs to separate facilities, resulting in a less predictable feel.

Seiji, our master ceramist from Japan, works closely with Dr. Kwong on all of his cases to help develop the function, shape, colour, and contour of natural teeth using the latest technology.

Dr. Kwong places special emphasis on your required needs. Thus, he and Seiji work together with you to attempt to verify your preferences, making certain that we do not fall short of your expectations.

Sterilizing Systems

The safety, health, and dental care of patients are our top priorities. Thus, we prepare treatment rooms before and after each patient, by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. As well, all of our instruments and equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized. We have invested in state-of-the-art sterilization technology in order to protect our patients and staff from contamination and infection.

Digital Radiography

In our office, we use digital radiography technology to take a “snapshot” of your teeth, resulting in a clearer image and more accurate diagnosis. Digital radiography (x-rays) work faster than a traditional x-ray, use no chemicals, and reduce your exposure to radiation by up to 90 percent.

Ultrasonic Scaling

Ultrasonic scaling and root planing removes and repairs the effects of plaque and tartar below the gumline, helping prevent and treat periodontal disease.

An ultrasonic scaler is a wand with a small scaling tip that produces a soft ultrasonic vibration. The small, quick vibrations, combined with a steady stream of water, carefully and meticulously remove plaque and tartar from the top of your tooth all the way down to the bottom of the tooth pocket, near the root surface.

Soft Tissue Lasers

Soft Tissue Lasers are used by the Dentists to sculpt and repair soft tissue and to perfect the harmony and symmetry of your gums. Lasers are used by our highly trained Hygienists to help keep your gums Tissue Perfect. Lasers have been shown to be more effective in certain surgeries and because of their sterilizing properties, improved healing time and comfort levels are achieved.

Cerec 3D

Cerec 3D uses CAD/CAM technology and allows us to create porcelain restorations in a single visit. In most situations, only one appointment is needed to place a Crown or an Onlay on your broken tooth – no need for temporaries and most importantly, less time away from work and family! You can also watch it being made in the Milling Unit.

NobelGuide and CT Scans allow NobelBiocare-Certified Dentists like Dr. Kwong to plan your Implant Treatment on a computer and, without any incisions, place your implants comfortably and more quickly.

K-7 Computer & TENS

Temporomandibular Joint Disorder/Temporomandibular Disorder (TMJ/TMD) is a condition that causes pain with the movement of the jaw and the surrounding muscles, ligaments, and nerves. Symptoms may also include: pain or tenderness in the temporomandibular joint (the joint of the jaw) or surrounding muscles; headache; neck, back, or shoulder pain; limited jaw movement; or a clicking or popping sound in the jaw. These problems are caused either by dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint or another problem – such as spasm or tension of the muscles used for chewing – affecting the region of the temporomandibular joint.

With the help of his expertise and professional equipment, Dr. Kwong can give you a treatment regime to ease the muscle tension.
